The food is AHHMAZING!

Southern comfort food but a bit elevated. If you want vegan the sweet potato/black bean hash is filling and delicious. My husband swears by the meatloaf. Don’t miss the fried green tomato appetizer. Make sure you save room for dessert. Karen makes a sweet potato pound cake that is the BOMB!! All food is fresh, locally sourced when able. You will not be disappointed. I have gone here since they opened and never got a bad meal.

My Sanctuary in Stone Mountain

This is my personal peaceful place but I don't mind sharing it with you. Karen & Daryl are delightful hosts to some of the best healthy comfort food around. Try it all. Go for brunch, lunch, or dinner & you'll want to keep coming back to try more dishes. And they've got Vita, the best server on the planet! #sweetpotatolove

Wow!

This place is fantastic! First and foremost- the food was delicious. Every bite was so good and fresh and satisfying. You could tell the chef took pride in what she did and focused on nourishing the soul through food. The service and server o both occasions I went were friendly and efficient. I hope to go back many, many more times. It felt like going home to eat and being welcomed warmly by family. Thank you, SPC, for creating this experience.

Sweet Potato Cafe has that upscale country cooking with unique twists on common recipes. The sweet potato salad is to die for!!! From the distinguished colors of the potatoes to the flavors and textures. I have got to try making this at home. I also tried the creamed collards at a Sunday Brunch and i have to say i will never look at greens the same again!!! The owner Karen is a sweet little lady and her enthusiasm and creativity shows in her presence and her menu. This place is going to be around for a long time and i for one am definitely going to advantage of it!!!!!

Amazing Burger!

My husband and the band he plays in are playing tonight at the Train Depot, so I stopped in to get some food to go. I had the Smoked Gouda burger and it was outstanding! I thoroughly enjoyed every bite! Delicious! If I lived in this area I’d be back often.

I, Mildred enjoyed my graduation dinner at Sweet Potato Cafe, Saturday June 17, 2017. Most of the twenty-two that attended my graduation dinner order the salmon dinner, which everyone said that they enjoyed, inducing myself. While others enjoyed brisket and stuff chicken, delicious. Thanks Chef Karen

A real southern delight

We were in town for the weekend and stumbled upon this gem. Upon driving up, we immediately fell in love with the southern charm of Sweet Potato Cafe. The outside patio and front porch was so inviting, like an old friend welcoming us in to stay awhile. The staff was warm and friendly, and Ms T was a ray of sunshine. We started with the fried green tomatoes with the black eyed pea relish, the balance between the lightly fried tomatoes and the surprising sweetness of the relish was harmonious upon first taste. The sweet potato fries were thick and perfectly seasoned with a little salt and a hint of sugar. The real treat arrived with the main course, I had the grilled porkchop with the peach BBQ sauce, steamed broccoli and a sweet potatoe soufflé. The porkchop was grilled to perfection and glazed with the most delicate and fresh peach BBQ sauce. So tender and juicy that I was not afraid to pick up pick up the bone and enjoy every last morsel. The hallelujah course began the second I took a bite of the sweet potato soufflé. I was immediately catapulted into a Thanksgiving day organism. The sweet candid pecans were the perfect ingredient layer onto of the soufflé. We had such an amazing meal that we came back a second night in a row. This time we ordered the corn nuggets for an appetizer. Perfectly fried to a light golden brown and served with a secret sauce that had a pleasant spicy kick to it. We had the meatloaf, which was so moist and topped with a fresh, chunky tomatoe sauce. Of course I had to indulge in the sweet potato soufflé. Ecstasy again. Tonight we saved room for the homemade banana pudding. This recipe came straight from grandma's house. Topped with a light airy meringue and chalked full of banana and wafers. A perfect ending to a perfect southern meal. I wish we lived closer because we would surely be regulars! A wonderful, locally owned restaurant. A real southern delight!
